HTML clipboard Welcome to the Arizona Science Center in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The Arizona Science Center opened to the public in 1997 and has since added space to that initial building. Current facilities at the Arizona Science Center include more than 40,000 square-feet of gallery space with more than 300 hands-on exhibits. You'll also find the giant-screen Irene P. Flinn Theater, the Dorrance Planetarium, classrooms, a gift shop, and a cafeteria. A relatively new Phoenix attraction, the Arizona Science Center is located in the downtown area. There over 300 hands-on permanent exhibits, as well as special changing exhibitions. A planetarium show and giant-screen films are also available for an additional charge to the admission price. People of all ages will have a great time exploring, learning and playing. Family Experience: Children aren't the only ones who can learn and have fun at the Arizona Science Center. I'm sure I used to know quite a bit of this material, but it certainly is fun to learn it all over again. Even better, learn and discuss it with your kids. Exhibits: At the "All About You" area, kids learn about the physiology of moving, the mechanisms of healing, patterns of learning and remembering, and new biotechnologies. A trip to the Arizona Science Center is a great supplement to traditional classroom learning. Actively participating in science makes it real and more easily grasped.
